David Lawrence of Shell
As a business development executive with extensive managerial experience in the energy and fossil fuel industry, David Lawrence most recently served as executive vice president of exploration and commercial with Shell Upstream Americas in Houston. In this role, he oversaw the company's Americas yLNG and midstream involvement, acquisitions and divestments, exploration, wind, and commercial and land interests. Additionally, David Lawrence was the functional head of Royal Dutch Shell's global exploration division and a member of the Shell Strategic Growth Forum. Previously, he was the executive vice president of Shell global exploration, maintaining responsibility for a range of matters, from capital allocation to strategic appraisals.
Mr. Lawrence initially joined the international energy enterprise as a research geologist. Over the course of his career with the company, he held a variety of increasingly senior positions, including chief geologist, vice president of offshore properties and capital, general manager, vice president exploration and development, vice president of corporate strategy and executive vice president of investor relations.
Outside of his professional interests, he enjoys playing the piano, travel and spending time with his family.
